Secret Forts is proud to partner with the New England based Penfield (established 1975 in Hudson, Massachusetts) in “Race for the Summit”, their online scavenger hunt launching this Thursday, November 17th and taking you on a zig-zagging quest across the internet in hot pursuit of one of the original cornerstones of Penfield’s classic and hard-wearing outdoor range, the Summit insulated down parka.
Kicking off this Thursday over at Penfield and on Penfield’s Facebook and twitter accounts, ten clues will be revealed over the course of four weeks. The clues will lead participants on an online trail around a handful of influential blogs and websites(ahem…). You’ll have to do some digging around for the answers to each clue and once you’ve found the answer, you’ll enter it via the competition page within your registered penfieldusa.com account and, if you’re correct, the subsequent clue is then revealed, leading you to the next online destination and a little more digging around.
Two clues are to be released each week, every Tuesday and Thursday, culminating in the final clue on December 15th, 2011. You can join in at any point between start and end dates and the winners will be announced on December 20th, 2011 with a first prize of a one-off, custom-made ‘Race for the Summit’ premium down insulated parka(take a gander below). In addition, 3 classic Summit down insulated parkas, 5 Outback down insulated vests and 20 Sanford beanies from Penfield’s Fall/Winter 2011 collection will be awarded to the runners-up.
