Looking Ahead : Engineered Garments, FW12.

Many of the same recent preview images of Daiki’s forthcoming FW12 Engineered Garments collection have been surfacing piecemeal across the internet as of late. That said, I couldn’t resist.

A long time fan of EG, the new collection is a perfect study in texture and layering including many of EG’s hallmark, tried and true seasonal fabrics as well as some new ones, the navy wool camo and navy wool denim being stand outs. Also loving the continued partnership with Golden Bear yielding some interesting tweaks on EG staples such as the Trail Parka in buck goat suede and Acadia Jacket in bench naked goat.
I always look forward to EG’s lookbooks, and if you’re like me, you’ll be dissecting the images for a while, asking yourself if you really need another trail parka(answer: probably.) and rolling your eyes at summer until finally waking to that first perfect crisp Fall morning.
See the selected images below then click over to Nepenthes Japan for the rest of the looks.

I love EG, but I really don’t think this look book benefitted from being shot in black and white.
