THE FALL THREE : MAX WASTLER, ALL PLAIDOUT.

Max Wastler. All Plaidout. Buckshot Sonny’s.
Kicking things off yet again, my good friend Max’s Fall Three, 2012.

1)Camp Wandawega. Everything about Tereasa Surratt and David Hernandez’s Wisconsin summer camp gets better in the fall: hot bonfires, warm bratwursts, and cold beer.

2)Solemn Oath Brewery‘s ultramegahighfrequency, an elusive Double American Red named for the classic 1989 “Weird Al” Yankovic flick. The SOBs at SOB are making some next level beer and packing it with a ton of heart and a great sense of humor. Get to them before they get to you.

3)”Stuff That Works” is a meditative take on, well, stuff. Guy Clark is someone I’ve admired for some time, and something in this song of his has been hitting the perfect note lately. He pays incredible attention to detail, and he has the ability to wrap an entire life around an image as simple as an ol’ blue shirt. “Stuff that’s real, stuff you feel, the kind of stuff you reach for when you fall.” Ain’t that kinda what it’s all about?

(All other photos by Max’s buddy Michael Kiser of Good Beer Hunting.)
